Meet LeMajor “Lee” Hill
Candidate for Roanoke City Sheriff
LeMajor “Lee” Hill, a lifelong resident of Roanoke City, has declared his intent to run for the open City of Roanoke Sheriff’s position. Lee is married to Dr. Melinda C.Hill, Melinda is a John Maxwell Team Coach and Project Advisor at Virginia Tech and they have lived in Roanoke all of their lives and have raised their 3 children, Trevon (Rania), Moriah, and Bryson Hill. He also is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
Lee recently retired from the Roanoke Sheriff’s Office after 25 years of service to his community. His career began in July 1995 in the Jail Security Division. Lee was transferred to the Court Security Division and became a School Resource Officer in the DARE Section before he was promoted to Sergeant. Lee served in various capacities within the operation before he retired as a Lieutenant (Assistant Commander) of the Services Division.
Serving the City of Roanoke has been an honor and privilege Lee has never taken lightly. With hard work and dedication, he had a long and successful career in law enforcement alongside many good men and women. He has the reputation of being a hard worker and diligent in his duties and is well respected among his brothers and sisters behind the badge. During his duties as a deputy sheriff, he has built a great relationship with the community that he strives to serve.
Lee intends on continuing moving the department forward and focusing on Safety and Security in all areas of the Sheriff's Office. He will continue to focus on the mental health challenges that are prevalent in the community and the jail. Lee will look to implement programs that will introduce offenders back into the community with skills that will make them less likely to re-offend.
Lee is excited to continue the journey of serving his community in the capacity of Sheriff. He is asking you for your support on NOVEMBER 2, 2021 to vote for Lee Hill for SHERIFF.
