Today, I am honored to announce my candidacy for the office of Sheriff of Roanoke City. With the support of our community and a deep commitment to our safety and well-being, I am ready to lead with integrity, transparency, and a dedication to improving our Sheriff’s Office for the benefit of every citizen and every dedicated employee.
As a lifelong resident of Roanoke City with 30 years of Law Enforcement experience, I have always had a deep sense of pride in our community. Now, as a candidate for Sheriff, I am focused on the future of our city and the critical need for leadership that is both effective and compassionate.
Curbing Spending with Efficiency
One of my key priorities will be managing taxpayer dollars with responsibility and transparency. We must ensure that our resources are being used wisely to serve the community’s needs, with a keen focus on efficiency. By evaluating our current expenditures, identifying waste, and investing in cost-saving initiatives, we can maximize the impact of every dollar spent while maintaining the high standards of public service that our citizens expect.
Improving Employee Morale and Retention
A Sheriff's Office is only as strong as the team that upholds its mission. It is crucial that we foster an environment where every deputy and staff member feels valued, respected, and motivated to do their best work. High morale and a positive work culture are key to ensuring that our employees are invested in their roles, leading to a more effective and unified department. I will work tirelessly to improve communication, create better support systems, and implement practices that prioritize employee well-being.

As your next Sheriff, I will bring dynamic leadership to the office, focusing on clear communication, accountability, and transparency in decision-making. The challenges of today require innovative solutions, and I am prepared to address those challenges with a strong sense of responsibility and a vision for progress. Through collaboration and inclusivity, I will work alongside our deputies, our community leaders, and citizens to ensure that the Roanoke City Sheriff’s Office is equipped to serve with distinction and honor.
